Multi-Slice
Our Light Speed CT (CT SCAN) from GE is a 16 slice machine, one of the fastest scanners available. The entire chest, abdomen and pelvis can be scanned in just under 12 seconds. In addition to the quickness of the exam the quality of image resolution is high and so is the accuracy of the test. Images can also be manipulated to find out more information without more testing.

CTA (CT Angiography) of the aorta, head, neck and runoff are also available.

What should I do to prepare for my exam?
Typically, CT scans do not require any special preparation. Wear comfortable clothes without metal snaps or zippers. Gowns and a changing area will be available if needed.

Non contrast scans require no preparation. With contrast you must fast for 4 hours prior to the scan. If you are having an abdomen or pelvic scan you may need to pick up a drink prior to your scan.

Remember: Always inform your doctor and the technologist if you are pregnant or you think there is a possibility you may be pregnant.
