Short Bore MRI
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is an advanced technology that lets your doctor see internal organs, blood vessels, muscles, joints, tumors, areas of infection, and more – without radiation or any invasive procedures. MRIs are very safe; in fact, they make use of natural forces and have no harmful effects.

Our MRI is a high field strength 1.5T magnet. Higher field strength magnets optimize images and also shorten exam time. Our unit can also perform magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) which allows doctors to view blood vessels.

What should I do to prepare for my exam?
Typically, MRI scans do not require any special preparation. Wear comfortable clothes without metal snaps or zippers. Gowns and a changing area will be available if needed.

Remember: Always inform your doctor and the technologist if you are pregnant or you think there is a possibility you may be pregnant.

You can not have an MRI if you have a pacemaker or brain aneurysm clip.
